  • 22/09/2022: After a very very very long silence on this webpage (but not on LinkedIn :-)), I am very happy to annouce that Augmented-Endoscopy , the start-up I have co-funded in July 2019 with my teamates Olivier, Xavier, Romain and Alain received the I-Lab price 2022 !!!! Great achivement! Thanks to Flore, Alain, Marc for the hard work of these last 2 years.
  • 06/12/2021: PEACE (Perception and Expectations toward Artificial Intelligence in Capsule Endoscopy) gathering the feedback of more than 350 gastroenterologists all over Europe out now in Journal of Clinical Medecine, Special issue on Current and Emerging Technologies & Applications of Endoscopy in Clinical Practice.
  • 01/07/2020: Our joined proposal DeepTera (see INSECTS projects on Research page) with University of Mauritius (UoM) for the automatic surveillance of blood-sucking dipters has been selected for a 10kŪ grant by UoM!
  • 28/06/2020: At last, back after this very particuliar period of confinement!. In the meantime, DIABLO paper (Pierre Jacob's PhD) has been published in Pattern Recognition Letters and the contribution "Saliency map for polyp detection in videocolonoscopy" was presented during last Biosignals Conference in Malta (February). Moreover, in the context of Romain Leenhardt's thesis I am co-supervising with Xavier Dray (APHP), "Artificial Intelligence Alleviates The Tedious Task of Reading Small Bowel Capsule Endoscopy Recordings" has been introduced during last ESGE conference (virtual) last April
  • 04/12/2019: From November 27th to 29th I had the opportunity to take part of a "Learning expedition" organized by Sol France and Mondragon Team Academy (Bilbao). What an inspiring experience for disruptive ways of teaching by innovation!
  • 08/08/2019: The preprint for the HORDE paper that will be presented at next ICCV can be downloaded here!
  • 31/07/2019: Among other new publications for 2019 (see Publications section :-) I have recently updated), the work of Pierre Jacob -"Metric Learning with HORDE: High-Order Regularizer for Deep Embeddings"-), I am co-supervising with my fellow David Picard, has been accepted for publication at the next ICCV conference (here) , Seoul, Korea!!! Great achievement for us all!!
  • 17/07/2019: Last 12th of July and yesterday, 16th of July, Edwin De Roux and Alejandro Von Chong (resp.) succesfully defended their PhD Works!! Thanks to them for the hard work and to Olivier Romain for the co-supervising! :-D

  • 09/07/2018: Breaking news!!, Paper on CNN for Angiectasia automatic detection and localisation (part of the CAP-CAD project I jointly co-investigate with Prof. Xavier Dray from Hospital Saint Antoine) has been accepted for publication in GastroIntestinal Endoscopy Journal (here) one of the most selective and visible journal in Gastroenterology.   • 05/06/2018: Great news, the CAP-CAD project (videocapsule image analysis), I jointly co-investigate with Prof. Xavier Dray from Hospital Saint Antoine, has been rewarded today, during the 15th APinnov day, with the "most innovative medical project" prize.   • 01/05/2017: One year...already... :-) Well, the publication list is frequently updated despite this and as you may have already noticed, the IEEE TMI paper on MICCAI 2015 polyp detection challenge has been published!   • 01/05/2016: After a long break, here are some news! First: The journal paper summarizing the Polyp Detection Challenge (MICCAI 15) is now submitted to IEEE TMI! Second: you can have a look to the "publication" section of this website, some updates for 2016.
  • 21/02/2016: The "Smart-BioDEV" special session I co-chaired and co-organized with Prof. Olivier Romain (my ETIS fellow) took place during last Biosignals Conference in Rome. It was a very interesting moment of exchanges with the participants. Thanks to them for their participation and for very interesting work.
  • 01/11/2015: The Challenge on Polyp Detection in Videocolonoscopy I have co-organized with Jorge Bernal (CVC, UAB) during last MICCAI conference was a great success! :-) Eight participants took part to the competition!! A lot of interesting things to summarize in a journal paper now!
  • 01/09/2015: This is now official!! I have been hired as a Full Professor at ENSEA (Ecole nationale superieure de l'Electronique et de ses Applications), Cergy, Fance.
  • 12/08/2015: Frederic Precioso and I have received the "Visiting Professor" honorary title from the University of Central Lancashire. Many thanks to Prof. Bogdan Matuzewski!

  • 28/02/2015: Following the obtaining of my HDR last November, I have been officially qualified by the 61st section of the French CNU.
  • 28/02/2015: GEODIFF project, funded by CNRS (PEPS Rupture call) from 2012-2013, is still alive! Come for the presentation of the latest obtained results on the modeling of non diffusion process for a more realistic simulation of the behaviour of forest pest insects at next PAAMS conference, June, Salamanca, Spain.

  • 30/11/2014: Two days ago, the 28th of November, I successfully defended my "Habilitation" (HDR)!!! It was a great moment of exchanges, discussions and, well, achievements :-).
